Accepting Applications

• Applicants must be MEXT Scholarship students (Embassy Recommendation) or recipients of equivalent government-sponsored scholarships, such as the JICA scholarship.
  • With regard to the MEXT scholarship, please contact us after you have successfully passed the Embassy Recommendation screening.
  • For the MEXT University Recommendation scholarship, I will only consider applications from students at our partner universities.
• Research Student
  • Applications for research student positions intended for admission to the graduate program in August 2028 are now closed.

Document Screening

Please follow the instructions below when submitting your application. We may only respond if your application contains all the required documents.

• Required Documents
  • CV
  • Graduation thesis (if possible)
  • Latest academic transcript
  • Graduation certificate (if you have already graduated)
  • Result of English language ability test, such as TOEFL
  • Result of Japanese-Language Proficiency Test
  • Research plan
  • Coding portfolio or something similar
  • Financial situation, you must cover all expenses without working in Japan.

After Enrollment

It will takeTHREE or THREE AND A HALF YEARS for graduate school.
Following is a structure of graduate school course

• THREE AND A HALF-YEAR COURSE:(1.5-year Research Student + 2-year Graduate Student))
  • October 2023: Enroll as a research student
  • August 2024: Entrance exam for graduate school
  • April 2025: Enroll in graduate school
  • March 2027: Graduation
